ER enters its seventh season in October. Several of the original cast members have made high-profile exits in the past couple of years, and the writing for remaining people was sub-par in some episodes. The writing team has been streamlined, however, and the cast is at last stable, at least for the next couple of years.
John Carter remains a firm favorite of viewers and fanfic writers. Noah has two remaining seasons on his contract, and said in a recent interview that he hopes Carter gets a happy ending, including marriage, a baby, and -- at long last -- a place to live.
