Top ten horror films :

1. Phenomena : Directed by Dario Argento 1984

The best movie I have ever seen. Starring Donald Pleasence and Jennifer Connelly. This film still gives me the creeps after watching it for over 30 times. The story takes place in the swiss country side and is about a richmans daughter who has been kicked out of every bording school she has went to. She's soon discovers that she has special powers, which she uses to get back on her classmates. Excellent shooting by the great master and fantastic scenery makes this one the classic with a capital C.

2. Dawn of the Dead : Directed by George A. Romero 1979

This is the second film from Romero's "Dead Trilogy". And far the best one. The zombies have invaded the earth and small groups try to survive as best as they can. This one has all the exitement, filming and sceneray as you may request. I still have this strange feeling when the zombie in the middle of the movie in the morning stands up and looks to the sun. This is a great film and go se it at once if you haven't have the chance yet.

Rating : 98/100

3. Halloween : Directed by John Carpenter 1978

The first of the Halloween series is still the best. I love the scene where the young Michael Myers comes out of the house after killing his sister and just stands there looking out to nowwhere with the bloody knife when his parents get home. This film was the big breakthrough for Jamie Lee Curtis, and also includes Donald Pleasence as Inspector Loomis.

5. Evil Dead : Directed by Sam Raimi 1982

This is a really classic. A gory tale of 4 youths going on a trip long out in the woods in a cabin they have rented. What they don't know is that this cabin is haunted and has been used to worshipping the devil himself. A breakthrough for both actor Bruce Campbell and director Sam Raimi. I just wished that the sequels has been as good as this one. But make sure you see the uncut version. With the three rape and the leg scene. Gory, gory, gory...

The introduction of the awesome Freddy Krueger. Whatever you do. Don't fall asleep. Then Freddy will come and cut you up. A classic tale about Damien the son of Satan who gets born with 666 tattooed in his head. Great story and great play by Gregory Peck. An evil story that gives you the creeps. Sam Neill has great sucsess in the third movie, but this one as many other first films is the best.

I hate almost all the horror movies from the 90's but this one is really good. A masterpiece from Wes Craven that tells us that horror movies won't die. Many stars feature in this film but Neve Campbell and Courntey Cox leads the roles.
