I was never a big fan of the Master, if you can't already tell, and I don't really miss him now that I think about it. He kinda sucked in a very big way. However, as far as evil goes, he had a fair amount of it. He did serve as a good enemy to Buffy, and he was superior in light of the fact that he was the only baddie to ever kill Buffy (twice, if you count the events in The Wish). But, he lacked something that the other baddies haven't - a fun factor. Spike is fun, the Mayor was fun, and the Master was just sorta blah. It was nice to see his return in season three, for one episode. That I could handle, because he wasn't coming back and he wasn't as weird as he was during season one. I guess I'm just picky about my bad guys - I prefer them to not suck!
