The Renaissance of the
Disney Empire
According to one not very old theory, till the end of the 2000-th year would exist five kingdoms only: those of the four kings (from the playing cards) and the United kingdom. But having in mind the "luck " of the  United Kingdom , it will not be a surprise  if it does not live through the 20-th century... But in exchange there is another "kingdom" whose foundations were laid during the twenties of our century, and it has the ambition to rule the world's imagination many years afterwards:
The Disney Empire
After a long crisis period "Disney" managed to pull themselves together, to speed up and to shine with the power from the glorious times of Mickey Mouse and the Sleeping Beauty. With the coming of "The Little Mermaid"
in 1989, a period of real economical and artistic renaissance began.
Phases from it are:
"TheRescuers Down Under"
"Beauty and the Beast"
"Aladdin"
"The Lion King"
"Pocahontas"
"The Hunchback of Notre Dame"
"Hercules"
"Mulan"
With these films "Disney" proved that they have decided to renew themselves in order to accommodate to the dynamic end of the millennium. Not only because of they have variegated their activities and have learned to use the newest technologies in an incompressible way, but mainly because "Disney" entirely changed the course of their foreign policy. At the time of Uncle Walt, Mickey Mouse & company were the best ambassadors of the "American way of life".
Today "Disney" already offers stories and characters of other cultures and races, in the way it fits into the epoch we live in- the limits are anachronism. The dubbing is also of great importance, especially in children's films: for example the famous "Lion King" has been translated into 26 languages, including Zulu, Turkish and Slovakian (!).
"Disney" precisely observes the changing characters of this millennium. The creation of a film about father-children relationships is planned. "Nothing's just by chance. Fathers have become more important for the education of their children and we are due to notice out this tenderloin", they say from the company.
" At "Disney" you feel entirely free", says Rob Minkoff, one of the best talents at the company. "It seems to me that at the time of "Cinderella" it was much more difficult. During the 50-s "Disney" was too conservative. The failures of "Fantasia" and "Alice" were too big. Today at the company work mainly young people. Here the average age is 31, everybody's strongly motivated. We work wonderfully together, and the computers provide the opportunity to make everything that we desire come true ."
Refresh and tradition, creation and marketing- in this way only the "Disney" empire can be sure to survive.
