When his former student, Kyp Durron, turns on him, Luke Skywalker's spirit is cut from his body, it is up to Leia, Han, their two twins, and rest of Lukes students to stop the evil spirit of the ancient Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun. Suspended helplessly between life and death, he must try to reach out physicaly to the Jedi twins, who are the only ones who can see him. Meanwhile Han Solo is searching for Kyp Durron who is piloting the Sun Crusher, a weapon with enough power to destroy a star. While Han Solo begins his search, Kyp Durron goes on a rampage and destroys five stars just to take out two Imperial battle cruisers, and destroys the training world for the Empire --- Caridia.
