WESTLIFE NEWS!!

Irish heart-throbs Westlife are hoping to rule the album charts this autumn -- with their new LP titled 'World Of Our Own.' The chart-toppers are releasing their third offering on 11 November after the success of 'Coast To Coast' in 2000 and 1999's debut 'Westlife.' Band member Nicky Bryne says, "We see a lot of bands trying to change but we want to keep the original Westlife sound. We are still 100 per cent pop and want to sing ballads, do big shows and entertain our fans. We don't think pop will ever die." The quintet promise a new single from the LP in October, which is strongly tipped to be a funky tune called 'Bop Bop Baby,' written by Bryan McFadden. Talented Kian Egan, who amazingly plays a total of 12 instruments, has written a track similar to Aerosmith hit 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.' Nicky adds, "There are about six or seven songs on it that are definitely of single quality." The band are hoping this new offering will silence tabloid reports they are about to split.

Westlife's third album is shaping up to be their best yet and three of the world's leading producers are signed up to work on it. The "Swear It Again" hitmakers are currently ensconced in Windmill Lane Studios, in Ireland's Dublin, where they'll be working a stream of legendary knob-twiddlers over the summer. The group has recruited famous American producer Rhett Lawrence, who has produced stars such as Paula Abdul, Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey, as well as music men Jam & Lewis, the team responsible for Janet Jackson's sound. The use of American producers suggests that the band are honing a sound to endear them to the pop market across the Atlantic which they have so far failed to crack. But they won't have ditched their trademark pop sound entirely because they are also working with Richard Stannard, who has worked with Five and the Spice Girls. A spokeswoman for the band says, "The boys have roped in some very big names for the new album, so expect a more varied feel to the production." Westlife had originally planned to record their album in London, but changed location to Dublin because of Bryan's desire to be at home for the birth of his child with former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona.

Westlife's Shane Filan (22) has proved his love of his galloping friends, horses by getting a tattoo, on his upper arm. The trendy popstar, best known for such hits as 'Flying Without Wings' and 'My Love' with Irish boyband quintet Westlife got the stylish tattoo in his native Ireland. The tattoo features chinese symbolic text meaning the word horse in Latin and has a small stylish print of a horse to the left. Shane, who is at present recording Westlife's as yet untitled 3rd album in Dublin, Ireland showed off his new tattoo to his friends and family.

Hi, Shane here,
You may have read in some newspapers, or heard on the radio, this week that I'm going to leave Westlife for a solo career. It was going to be the end of Westlife. Let me reassure all the Westlife fans out there that there is absolutely no truth whatsover in that story. I have no idea where it came from. I mean, look how silly it would be. At the moment I'm in the middle of recording Westlife's new album. We've only done one world tour, there's still another three, four, five or six to do. Things have never been better in the Westlife camp. We're selling millions of albums. Our third album is going really well. Next year we'll release a greatest hits album. The year after that we'll have another new album. And hopefully many more to come. Far from splitting up, our aim is to be the longest lasting boyband on the planet. Hopefully that dream will come true. The first I heard about the story of us splitting up was when our tour manager rang me to congratulate me on the big solo deal. He was having a good laugh at the story. We see those kind of stories about Westlife all the time. Only recently I read in a British newspaper that Westlife had given up on America. It said that we had been over there this year and failed to score any success. So we've decided not to bother with America anymore. Another pack of lies. If the person who wrote that story had checked with us, we could have told him the facts. We haven't been in America this year. We've been touring the UK, Ireland, Europe and Asia. In fact we're going off to South America in a couple of weeks. So, to put the record straight: I'm not going solo. Westlife isn't breaking up. We haven't given up on America. I've had one of the busiest weeks of my life. The work has started on our new family home outside Sligo. There was great excitement watching the foundations and the first bricks going up. I mucked in and did some observing, although I have to admit that I did more observing than mucking in. This is going to be a new home for all the family. My Mam and Dad always talked about building a new house some day. My success in Westlife is that it gave me the opportunity to do it for them. It will be a few years before I build my own home. I don't need one at the moment because I'm always away. It's been business as usual on the recording front in Westlife this week. I've teamed up with Bryan to write some new songs and everything is going really well. It looks like its going to be our best album yet. We're looking forward to hearing the finished product but there's lots more work to do.

Westlife are to model a new range of underwear by Calvin Klein. They will feature in magazine and billboard adverts in Europe. The contract to promote next year's spring/summer collection is worth £500,000, reports The Sun. The Irish band are currently working on their third album and a new single to be released in the autumn. Brooke Shields, Kate Moss, Macy Gray, Moby and Dolores O'Riordan from The Cranberries have previously helped to sell Calvin Klein gear.

Hi, Bryan here,
This week I've been checking out my mate Mark Murphy's new group, Fifth Avenue, and I'm dead impressed with their new single 'Spanish Eyes'. Mark is their manager and I'm not surprised that he's excited about this release because it has huge hit written all over it. If you're among the 40,000 Sunday World readers and Dublin's FM104 listeners who get free tickets to the Monster Day Out at Marlay Park on Sunday, August1 9, then you'll get a chance to see them perform live. The single won't be released until later next month, but it is amazing and I know that you're going to love it. I have to say, all the lads here in Westlife have been amazed by the reaction to the Marlay Park Family Day out. Our friends in the Sunday World and FM104 tell us that fans from Holland and Germany have been trying to get their hands on the coupons, because they want to make the trip for the day. It's getting exciting because its getting really close. Right now we're still busy in the studio working on tracks for our new album, which will be released in November. It's an exciting time for us as it looks like we're going to have six or seven of our own songs on the album. Shane and myself were in the studio this week and we've written a couple of songs. Every other year we just didn't have any time to write, so this is a really great experience for us and, hopefully, you'll like what we've done. Apart from working in the studio, I got a chance to check out the new Lexus car. Kerry and myself went to the launch of it and I fell in love with it. It's absolutely gorgeous. Sorry for going on about cars, but, you know what boys are like. Anyway I'm thinking of getting one. But I'm not the only Westlife member who has cars on his mind these days. Shane has just gone out and bought himself a smashing BMW convertible. And, for once, he is actually getting to drive it as we're based at home at the moment. Kerry and myself have already started a family - we've just got a couple of boxer puppies. The only thing is, we never realised what a handful they both are, so we're hoping to find a good home for one of them. Finally, this week I also made the trip up to lovely Leitrim to play golf in a competition with my dad, uncle, and pal Mark. There were about 30 teams in the competition and we finished mid-way, so we didn't do too badly and it was a great day out.

Former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona can’t wait to give birth to her child with westlife star Bryan Mcfadden. The blonde singer is due to give birth on her 21st birthday next month, and says she couldn’t be happier. And Bryan absolutley loves the curves her pregnancy has brought. She explains, "Bryan teases me mercilessly – he says I even make jordan look normal." But kerry confesses it can be tiring carrying a child through pregnancy. She says, "I’m proud of the way my body looks, but I must admit my boobs are a bit of a nightmare. They have gone from a 32DD to a 36DD. My boobs are so big now they give me backache so I rest them on the table when I’m eating. And the bras are so big I can fit my head inside one cup."

Ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona misses being in the group - but was delighted her pals got to number one with their single 'Eternal Flame'. Kerry is currently in Ireland awaiting the birth of her first baby with Westlife fiancee Bryan McFadden. She says, "It was a very proud moment for the girls and I was thrilled for them. Now Bryan and myself are preparing to be No 1 parents for our little girl." Kerry's family are set to fly into Ireland from Liverpool this month to support her during the final weeks of her pregnancy. She is due to give birth on September 6th. Bryan has stayed home from Westlife's trip to Germany because of Kerry's due date coming up. There have been a few rumors saying that Kerry is already in the hospital waiting to give birth to Molly. The other members of Westlife performed 'When You're Looking Like That' as a quartet on a German tv show and Nicky said, "The baby may come within the next five minutes." Good luck to both Bryan and Kerry on the birth of their daughter. Westlife hunk Bryan McFadden believes that impending fatherhood has changed him completely. The 'My Love' singer's fiancee Kerry Katona is due to give birth to their first child next month and Bryan can think of nothing else. He says, "I've totally changed as a person and being a star is no longer my biggest priority. I will continue to give Westlife my everything, but for now looking after Kerry is the most important thing. Just a year ago I was totally caught up in being a pop star, now there are only three people in my life. Some people think I am being irresponsible for wanting a child and a career, but we can handle it." And the singer says that not a day goes by that he isn't preparing and planning for the baby. He has already made practice runs to the hospital to ensure that everything runs smoothly when the baby arrives. He adds, "I've planned three different routes to the hospital and worked out which is the best. I just want to make sure that everything runs like clockwork." Westlife's Kian Egan has splashed out on his perfect car - atop-of-the-range 160mph Porsche Boxster. He says: "It's incredible -I'm only 21 and have fulfilled one of my greatest dreams." Irish boyband Westlife are going back to America to have a second crack at winning over pop fans stateside. Last month, manager Louis Walsh supposedly said, "We are not sure whether it will happen for us now. Our stronghold is Britain and Europe. We are doing really well there and we don't want to be associated with failure." But a month on, the band have vowed to return and they think performing on film soundtracks is the way forward. Nicky Byrne, "I can honestly say we will go back to America. I reckon we will break the States when we release more songs there and get our stuff on movie soundtracks." ok heres a lil news for ya one of westlife songs will be called "Bop Bop Baby" and westlife already recoreded the song with sherina...
