Led by the Truth

I think that most of us have a few key principles that we use over and over as we go through life. These principles are not necessarily any particular sayings that we can quote. In fact, most of the time they are not even conscious. And that very fact is what makes them dangerous. In our Gospel today, we see that the tax collectors and the prostitutes chose to follow

COMMITMENT TO THE FUTURE

We are all stewards - managers of the gifts God has bestowed upon us.  Our challenge as Christians is to make good use of those
gifts - our time, our talents and our material treasures.  As good stewards we give in proportion to the goodness God has shown us.
Commitment to the Future challenges us to live the reality of stewardship and recognize that we are an important part of building up the Kingdom of God.  Only by committing to the future is it effective.
