Hello, my name is Melody and I am a pyrographic artist, wood carver, scroll saw artist and desk top publisher. I live in Columbus, Ohio and am a member of the Columbus Chippers, The Guild of Master Craftsman, Ohio Arts and Crafts Guild, IAPA International Association of Pyrographic Artists, Ohio Designer and Craftsman, and various other organizations. I am a former 21 year banker who got booted out to cut costs and benefits and hire the younger, cheaper costing employees. Little did I know that when I lost that 21 year job, it was a blessing, as my father was seriously ill and it gave me time to spend quality time with him before he passed away. I see now that God gave me that time with him for a reason and that all things work together for good to those that love the Lord. After my father passed away I worked as an Computer Embroidery Technician for 3 years and got the ole boot there too because my boss said he wasn't going to pay another year of benefits for me. This of course was after I had gotten the screen printer all trained in how to do my job too. Therefore I am trying to start my own business. My new Boss is "The Great Master Carpenter", of which I am His humble apprentice. I may not become rich in this, but as long as I have a roof over my head and food on the table, I will be happy just to be able to serve our glorious heavenly Father. This is my first web site attempt so please bear with me and come back often.
Some of my specialities are custom plaques, clocks, music boxes, corporate awards and gifts with matching gift cards. At Christmas I do personalized Christmas ornaments. My dream and goal is to bring art back into the church as in the days of Michaelangelo. The glorious carved designs and icons that glorified God in His churches. Here is a sample of some of my work.
