St. John of Kanty was a priest
who taught at the University of Krakow. He gave everything he had to the
poor and kept only the clothes he most needed. He was looked upon as a
generous and energetic spirit. John was also known for his humanity. He
rested little, slept on the floor, and ate no meat.
