Having been beaten 5-1 in the match with Linfield , HB/Bangor Youth had a point to prove against the high-flyers who were 2nd in the table.
HB/Bangor started the brighter of the 2 sides and were awarded a penalty inside the opening 15 minutes. Ever reliable penalty taker Aaron Morrow stepped up, but hit it straight at the keeper. Linfield were let off the hook.
In the 2nd half Linfield didn't look like scoring at all thenks to the very steady hands of HB/ Bangor's goalkeeper. Aaron Morrow came off injured, joining Ryan Hamilton on the side-lines. (Both should be fit for next week's match against Lurgan Town).
HB/Bangor had chances to score but were only really half chances so in the end 0-0 was a fair result in the end even though HB/Bangor could have sneaked a win! |
