Rich Victorian Porter
Type of beer: Extract
Ingreadients:
2 cans Alexander's 4# pale malt (aprox 7 lbs bulk)
8 ounces (2 cans) chocolate Grain
8 Ounces Dark crystal grain
1 bag, 8 ounces Malto- dextrine
2 ounces Kent Golding hop plugs/ pellets
2 Packets Munton's Gold ale Yeast
1 Hop Bag
Directions:
Add all grains (in a hop bag) ti 1.5 to 2.0 gallons if cold water in brew pot. Bring water just to a boil and then remove the grains. Bring to a boil and add the 2 oz. Kent Golding Hops (in a hop bag), with the 2 cans of malt extract and the 8 oz. of Malto- dexitrin. Keep at a breaking boil for one hour. Cool rapidly, making mixture up to 5 gallons. Rehydrate and pitch the yeast when the wort is a at 70 degrees or less. Ferment as usual.
