2009 marks 60 years for Wethersfield Home Garden Club. We will be celebrating by hosting a Garden Tour on June 6th from 10:00am to 4:00pm, including several gardens with perennials, annuals and a variety of specialty plants.

Ticket prices for the Garden Tour are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the tour. Tickets will be sold at the Keeney Memorial Center at 200 Main Street in Old Wethersfield on the day of the tour from 9:45am to 2:00pm. You can purchase tickets in advance by sending a check payable to Wethersfield Home Garden Club to 58 Grandview Terrace, Wethersfield, CT 06109. Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Members of Wethersfield Home Garden Club come together with an active interest in learning about all types of flowers and plants including flower arranging. As a member, many of the questions you have will be answered including, what will grow best in my garden?   When is the best time to transfer indoor plantings to my outdoor garden? How do I recognize and treat plant disease? How do I keep my garden colorful and full from spring to fall?

Why not come to one of our meetings and learn more about us? We meet the first Wednesday of every month except January,  July and August from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.    

The Wethersfield Historical Society will host a house tour one week later on June 13th in celebation of Wethersfield's 375th anniversary. Ticket prices for the House Tour are $25 in advance or $30 the day of the tour. For more information, email society@wethhist.org or call (860)529-7656.
