Drink a glass of water as slowly as possible. Add a pinch of baking soda for a better effect.
Get a spoonful or sachet of sugar. Hold your head back and drop the sugar in, so that it hits the pallet at the back of your mouth into you throat.
Drink hot coffee and hold your breath.
Suck 2-3 small pieces of fresh ginger. This helps with reoccuring hiccups.
