Bleeding
1) Lie the victim down to prevent fainting.

2) Stop bleeding by placing a gauge or a clean cloth over the wound and press it firmly with the palm of your hand. Change the cloth as needed

3) If the wound is on the head, neck, arm or leg and there is no suspected fracture, elevate it to a level above the heart to help stop the bleeding

4)Applying an ice bag directly over the wound area will help stop the bleeding

5) If the victim continues to loose blood, following can be tried
If wound is small: light a sigarette and firmly press it against the wound for about 2 seconds. For a bigger wound use a sigar or a small log. This procedure is very painfull to the victim, and should only be used as a very
last resort.
