This website is dedicated to my bullmastiff, Homer's Odyssey.  It will serve to document his growth from puppyhood to becoming an adult bully.  Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Homer was born on August 6, 2002 at Kengin Kennels.  His Sire is CH Kilroy's Sonoma Sam and his dame is Kengin's Freya.  Homer is considered a dark brindle bullmastiff.  Bullmastiffs generally come in fawn, red fawn, red brindle, fawn brindle and dark brindle.  They are considered a molosser breed.  Bullmastiffs came about by crossing bulldogs (40%) to old english mastiffs (60%).  This cross produced a very intelligent dog with an  excellent temperment. They are classified as a working dog by the AKC because they were commonly used to protect the estate of their owners from poachers long ago.  The AKC recognized this as a pure breed in approximately 1935.
