Our HistoryPack 26 started as a mostly home-school unit prior to 1998. With the departure of the leadership (and most of the scouts), 3 families with 4 kids re-started the unit in September 1998 as a strictly home-schooled unit. We didn't have a charter unit, we met in one family's house, but we were dedicated to teaching the children Scouting values. In 2000, we became charted by the Gardner Group, and in 2001 we birthed the home-schooled Troop 26! AwardsPack 26 has received the following awards:
What Makes Pack 26 Successful?Scouting is a wonderful organization which promotes healthy relationships between boys and their father. Pack 26 is proud to boast of 100% parental involvement in our meetings! Not because we require a parent to participate, but because the parents WANT to participate. We credit this to the success of our program – Parents who care! |
