Who Am I? - My name is Leslie Schauer and I have been quilting for 23 years though not continuous until the last 7 years or so. I have made so many quilts that I can not begin to count them, but it is well over 100 by now. I have made many quilts for family, relatives, crisis pregnancy centers as well as for numerous customers. In fact, some returning customers might remember the USA quilt and Family Quilts that I used to do that were quite popular and kept me busy! 

Machine Quilting - I now do machine quilting locally and by mail. It is much easier than hand quilting and I can get your quilts back to you much faster! Do you love piecing your tops but can't seem to finish them? Do you find it frustrating trying to manipulate all the layers through your machine? If so, let me quilt your tops for you so you can get back to sewing more quilts! 

Hand Quilting - I was taking orders and doing hand quilting here for about 2 years but no longer have the time that is needed to devote to hand quilting. If things change I will let you know. :)

About HomeSpun - This is a Christian family business that allows me to stay home with my soon to be 8 children. My oldest two daughters are quilters as well and are gaining experience daily by helping me with the business and charity quilts. Even my 13 year old son has 2 quilts he has done and my 11 year old finished  her 3rd quilt! Quilting is indeed in the family blood. 

Want a quote? - My rates are reasonable and priced comparatively with other Mid-West machine quilters. The difference is that it does not take 4-8 months turn around to get your tops quilted and returned to you. They also carry a fantastic poly/cotton blend that sews incredibly well. I also carry all sorts of thread, muslin for hand dying, and large quilt backings up to 128" wide!
