Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Homeopathic Medical College was established in 1985 under the Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Welfare Society (Regd.) Wazirabad. The name of the college was atributed with the great name of Hazrat Maulana Zafar Ali Khan (Baba-e-Sahafat). The college was recognized on 7.5.1990 by the Federal Ministry for health Govt. of Pakistan through the recommendations of National Council for Homeopathy, after 5 years efforts. After 2 years of its recognition when it was realized that appropriate building is required for the proper education of students, then 5 Kanals land was purchased at Naseer Colony G.T. Road Wazirabad and construction work started forthwith. This glorious building of the college was completed during 1995 with all recent facilities for the students. Later on, auditorium of the college was built during 1999 and inaugurated by the Syed Pir Muhammad Binyamin Rizvi, Ex-Provincial Minister for women development social welfare and bait-ul-maal. Keeping in view the growing atmosphere towards this field, this college applied for the affiliation with Islamia University Bahawalpur for B.H.M.S. (Degree Courses) on 27-6-2000. Inspection committee of the said University visited this college for the purposes on 31-8-2000 and appreciated the efforts made in connection with construction works and proper way of education.

        Finally, Islamia University Bahawalpur has affiliated this college with the university vide their letter No.13 98/Ac ad dated 30-11-2000.
