I am very glad, feel proud and pleasure to write this message on the occasion of starting B.H.M.S Degree Course in Moulana Zafar Ali Khan Homoeopathic Medical College Wazirabad. Homoeopathic Medical science is making progress day by day.
Homoeopathy is a very effective a comparatively cheaper system for the treatment of various diseases. In the past this field was not popularized in Pakistan because after Diploma course there was no chance for the students to acquire higher education. Thus their ambitions to serve the humanity in a better way could not be fulfilled. Now, the position is totally changed and after realizing that useful alternate medical systems to allopathic i.e. Homoeopathic and Tibb must be encouraged the teaching of homoeopathy at degree level has been accomplished with the active help of my colleagues and Homoeopathic Council, and now we have finalized the syllabus and courses for teaching B.H.M.S four-year degree course and two years B.H.M.S. graded degree course.I hope that the Homoeopathic doctors and the students, interested in this system of treatment, now have opportunity to improve their knowledge and to serve the sick persons in a better way.

It is a great pleasure for me that Islamia University, Bahawalpur is initiating a degree programme in Homoeopathy for the first time in Punjab. This B.H.M.S. degree course will provide the opportunity to the students to explore the talented mind and uplift the noble cause on humanitarian basis. This is undoubtedly being a matter of pride and honour for all those related with this profession. The homoeopathic profession in Pakistan is in its infancy. There is a lot to be done. This is the time when the professionals should commit that all efforts will be made to ensure that the homoeopathic profession should get into due recognition to play its due role which definitely is in the interest of the nation. At the same time this will also give a strong support in achieving the goal of health. Holding of B.H.M.S degree programme is a big event in the life of Homoeopathy in Pakistan. Professor Dr. Mohammad Shafique Khan, Vice Chancellor, Islamia University, Bahawalpur and his team needs a salute for their efforts to make plans for this degree programme. Being an expert in the affiliation committee, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, I have visited about eighteen homoeopathic medical colleges in the Punjab. Out of these, only two colleges have now been affiliated with the Islamia University to conduct B.H.M.S. four years degree courses and B.H.M.S. two years graded degree course. Among them Moulana Zafar Ah Khan Homoeopathic Medical College, Wazirabad is one of the very good colleges. I therefore, congratulate the administration and teachers of Moulana Zafar Ah Khan Homoeopathic Medical College at this occasion.
