Hi, my name is Heidi and along with my sister, I have been running Honey Bear Child Care for 6 years. Here is a little bit about me.
Education:
AAS in Graphic Design from Onondaga Community College
BA in Communication and Public Relations from the University at Buffalo
During college I worked as a Resident Advisor for a floor of 30+ freshman and sophomores. I also worked as a Student Advisor for 3 years.
I was also active in on campus groups like the Community Action Corps. and the Anti-Rape Task Force
During and after college I worked in advertising for close to 9 years.  I am not married and have no children of my own. I have 2 cats and one puppy.
My family are the most important people in my life. They include my parents, my sister Erica and my brother Chris.
Some of my favorite things to do are draw, write letters, work on the computer, travel, read, bake and do crafts.
My reasons for opening Honey Bear Child Care were to allow parents of preschoolers the peace of mind for when they had to leave their children and go to work each day. I want to offer a safe, loving and homey environment for children to grow, learn and explore their world around them. Honey Bear is an alternative to large, impersonal, sterile child care centers where parents drop their children off to one worker and pick them up from a different one.
Each and every day we strive to create an atomosphere for small minds to learn all they can, feel safe and secure and to have a happy childhood.
