| This year (2007) marks the 25th anniversary of Hong Ying school in the UK. In the South of England (Kent) we have a very strong school ,which is spread across the region in various locations. Our full time centre is in the beautiful sea-side town of Whistable where we also hold many International Association events too ! In England we have a good core of instructors & assistant instructors led by Sifu Leo ALderman who has trained under Tai-Sifu Mark Horton since the end of the 1980' s . | Sifu LEO ALDERMAN has trained under Tai-Sifu Mark Horton since the end of the 1980' s . Leo teaches Kung Fu & Kickboxing classes everyday at the full time Centre "Fighting Lions Black Belt Academy"in Whistable- Kent and is the highest ranking Hong Ying student in the UK. Leo has also trained on many occassions under guidance from Grandmaster Doc Fai Wong & also with Sifu Jason Wong. Leo has been a very active Martial Artist since an early age. As a Junior he was extremely succesful on the British Tournament circuit ,winning the British title 6 times ! He also went on to win various Adult titles , and represented Great Britain in various European & World Championships, beforing turning his attention more to Coaching and teaching. | Dai Shi Hing NATHAN ELLIS has trained in our schools since he was a young boy and is an excellent "all-rounder" . He has trained and excelled in many disciplines ,including Kung Fu forms, Weapons, Tai Chi Push Hands, Point Fighting'Lion Dancing and Full-Contact fighting. He has won many championships at both Youth and Adult levels . Nathan has been the Senior Assistant at Hong Ying UK since he reached his 18th birthday and in recent years has developed into an excellent Fighting & Sparring instructor having spent valuable training & learning time with HYCMA Chief Xanda Coach , Sifu Jay Clayson Visit WEBSITE |
| Shi Hing HO KYUNG HOEBEKE began his training at our centre in Holland ,where he learned the fundamentals of both Choy Li Fut & Tai Chi from Tai-Sifu Mark Horton. After some years of training he was selected to become 2nd Assistant at the UK school, and so he moved to England . He continues to live & train in the UK and develop as an instructor . He is also a good forms competitor, winning numerous National level Championships in the UK over the last 2-3 years. Ho Kyung is very focused on his training and also developing good Tai Chi students.
