BEGIN DANCE AGAIN
More advanced dancers can vary
steps with turns in grapevines or slide, slide, slide - kicks (14 &
18) touch behind or hand to floor (16 & 20) - Hop may be
substituted with Tour d'lair (turn in the air).
This was originally choreographed for professional dancers and
was done in 2 lines facing each other. They should BOX each other -
that is to say, circle the opposite dancer. This version was only
performed a few times with professional dancers as I found that
non-dancers found the intricacies too difficult to handle. I only
taught it as a single line dance at VAMPS. I hope that now that the
dance has been around for a while, once they learn the correct 22
steps, they would be able to manage this version as well.
