THE FORCE

This is an edited rewrite of the original step sheet prepared under the direction
of the choreographers.  Certain variations have become popular and are
also given.  This advanced line dance has 68 counts.  The choreographers
grouped them as 4 sets of 8, 1 set of 10, 2 sets of 8, and 1 set of 10.  Various
attempts by persons to group the steps have caused confusion in the counts.  

Tina and Damon coreographed this as soon as Indian Outlaw hit the street, so it has
been around for a while.  It is VERY popular in all New Orleans CW
clubs.  Most clubs use the dance version of the music which does not have the
change in tempo near the end.  If you don't have the dance version, I
recommend ending the music where the beat slows.

COUNTS / STEP DESCRIPTIONS

BACK STEPS AND TWISTS:
 1   Step back with right foot
 2   Step back with left foot
 3   Step right foot back next to left
 &4  Twist heels left, twist heels right

NOTE:  For steps 1-3 bend the arms at the elbows and make fists with
the hands.  On step 1, pull the right fist and shoulder back but do not
twist at the waist. Do similarly for steps 2 and 3.

SCUFF AND SAILOR SHUFFLE:
 5   Scuff right heel forward
 6   Right foot down next to left
 7   Step on left toe behind right foot
       while slightly lifting right foot
 &8  Right foot down, step left foot next to right

NOTE:  Steps 7&8 are a non-traveling left sailor shuffle

FANS, SIDE HOPS AND HIP BUMPS:
 9   Fan toes and knees out (Opt: palms forward)
 10   Fan toes and knees back together (Opt: palms back)
 11   Hop on both feet to right
 &12  Hop on both feet to right, hop on both feet to right
 13   Bump hips to right
 14   Bump hips to left  (OPTION:  Instead, bump hips to back)
 15   Bump hips to right (OPTION:  Instead, bump hips to left)
 &16  Bump hips to left, bump hips to right 
     (OPTION: Instead, bump hips to front and then to right)

KICK BALL POINTS:
 17   Kick  left  forward
 &18  Left back next to right, 
      touch right toe  to left (extend)
 19   Kick right heel forward
 &20  Right back next to left, touch left
      toe to right (extend)

 21-24 Repeat 17 thru 20 above

BODY ROLLS LEFT AND RIGHT
25-26 (angle to the right)Body roll left
27-28   Body roll right

FANS AND 1/4 TURN LEFT:
 29&  Fan toes apart, fan toes together

 31&  Scuff right heel, hitch right knee while turning 1/4 left
 32   Stomp right foot

HIP BUMPS:
 33   Bump hips right
 34   Bump hips left
 35&  Bump hips right, bump hips left
 36   Bump hips right

SLAP THAT HORSE:
 37   Step forward with left foot
 38   Exagerated slap on right rump (makes your horse do the next       
       moves)
 39   Hop on both feet forward
 40   Hop on both feet forward

 41   Hop on both feet forward 
&42  Hop on both feet forward, hop on both feet forward

NOTE:  Hand remains on rump for above hops.

DOUBLE AND SINGLE TOE TOUCHES:
 43   Touch right toe to right side
 44  Lift and touch right toe again
 &45  Bring right foot back together and touch left toe to left side
 46  Lift and touch left toe again
 &47  Bring left foot back together and touch right toe to right side
 &48  Bring right foot back together and touch left toe to left side

 &49  Bring left foot back together, and touch right toe to right side
50   Touch right toe next to side of left foot

KNEE ROLLS AND RUBBER LEGS:
& 51 Lift right heel and roll right knee clockwise
 52   Roll right knee clockwise
 &53   Right heel down while lifting left heel and roll left knee counter-clockwise
 54   Roll left knee counter-clockwise
 55   Roll right knee clockwise
 56   Roll left knee counter-clockwise

 57& Bend knees slightly outward, straighten up (OPT: Sissor knees apart, knees together)
 58& Bend knees slightly outward, straighten up (OPT:Sissor knees apart, knees together}

STEP, SCUFF AND HOPS:
 59   Stomp with right foot
 60&   Scuff with left heel, hop on right
 61   Stomp with left foot 
 62&   Scuff with right heel, hop on left
 63   Stomp with right foot 
 64&   Scuff with left heel, hop on right

 65   Cross left in front placing toe beside right foot
 66-67   Hold, unwind full turn clockwise on second count (OPT:Unwind with full turn clockwise
              in two counts)

 68    Clap

 31 Step froward on left
 32 Step forward on right (end with right slightly in front of left)

HEEL TAPS:
 33-36 Tap right heel four times

SLAP THAT HORSE:
 37 Pivot 1/4 to left

 39   Hop on both feet forward
