| The warrior that would become Lt. Commander Krusnan was born on Mockbikyuk (moHbiqyuQ), a small insignificant planet on the outer marches of the Klingon Empire in the Year of Kahless 1035. The planets only claim to fame was it’s unbearable hot and humid climate, and the fact that it had almost no land mass (it ran about 85% ocean). Remarkably, yet unnoticed by the large houses in the Empire, Mockbikyuk, and the house of Vonar made most of its money from its agricultural exports. Mockbikyuk’s secret was it had learned how to raise crops and livestock using advanced genetic engineering techniques given to them from a visiting Trill biologist Hazoran Ezax. The House of Vonar made immense profits from the sales of its foodstuffs to the Imperial Klingon Defense Force. With the immense wealth House Vonar had at it’s disposal, they were able to send their eldest son to the Qo’NoS veSwIpu DuSaQ’a’ (Kronos Warrior’s Academy). It was while Krusnan was off attending this school that a rival house attempted to destroy House Vonar by tampering with the genetically engineered crops. This created toxic airborne pollen that wiped out the entire world in a matter of weeks, and left the planet uninhabitable to Klingons. Having lost his family and its fortunes, Krusnan was forced to resign his appointment to the academy. He signed aboard the tongDuj Hocha, a merchant vessel that delivered rare goods around the Empire (the delicacy of the goods required them to be transported to the surface by shuttlecraft). He flew cargo shuttles for the ship for a number of years. Unfortunately Krusnan liked to “hotdog” while piloting his shuttle, and after several shipments arrived less than intact, he was released from service. Krusnan had only his personal shuttle to his name, so he started hiring out for interstellar voyages, transporting cargo and personnel. He’d work doing private security for less than honorable patrons, and had a tendency to kill when it wasn’t warranted or necessary. He got the reputation of being a very dangerous man around the spaceports that he frequented, but being the jobs he was performing had no honor in them, he was not considered an honorable warrior (though he was noted as being a very capable warrior). The conflict with the Dominion started, and escalated to a total war. Krusnan tried to join the IKDF, but since he had a tarnished reputation, they wanted nothing to do with him. Fortunate for Krusnan, a pilot that was heading a project that needed warriors with exceptional piloting skills named Lt. Commander Krith Q’ong. With Commander Q’ong’s recommendation Krusnan was inducted into 59th Imperial Klingon Fighter Squadron. With a new life, and one as a warrior like he had always planned on, Krusnan rose through the ranks of the Squadron. By Stardate 52034.1 Krusnan succeeded Krith as the Squadron’s commander when Krith was promoted to Commander of an Imperial Klingon Strike Force to be stationed on a Federation Ship. The 59th became part of the Strike group, and supplied air support for the ground troops whenever they went into combat. |
