PRE-DEPARTURE

Its so exciting to pack for a vacation, especially an extended trip like this one. Our newly acquired laptop, 2 digital cameras, and a 70 liters backpack for Shyan is making  their first debut soon. A long list to pack, and still working on it. We are having a little trouble with what clothes to bring, considering the weather, terrain and rugggedness. Tough to decide which is the one we don't mind losing and soiling, and not too ugly. Knowing Shyan, she would pack her whole wardrobe if she could.

We tried to get most, if not all, modes of making payment and getting cash. Visa card, Mastercard, debit card, bank card, amex… if neither of them worked, there's always American Express traveler's cheque. Then arranging GIRO to pay for these bills.

Farewell dinners and parties
Undoubtly the most enjoyable. Food…. Booze….
First dinner was with Shyan's team girls at Iguana, serving tex-mex. Food's alright, nothing to shout about. But dining with almost half a dozen pretty girls is definitely a pleasure.

Then, we had dinner with the usual gang, at Sunset Grill and Bar. (I'm totally surprise by the 100% attendance. Thank you so much, for driving all the way. Hope you had enjoyed it as much as I did.) we ordered a dozen of level 5 buffalo wings and 2 dozens of level 2. Please let me briefly explain the different levels. After the wings are cooked, they are tossed with a sauce of different spiciness

Beyond my imagination

Look what they've done to my friends.
Those who like to try your luck finding your way there…. please make sure someone is driving, unless you intend to hitch from one of the diners. Once you entered Seletar Camp, go north at the roundabout (meaning turning out at the third lane you see, make sure the golf driving range is on your right after you exit the roundabout.) Then turn left on the first lane you see (lembeth). Soon you'll notice signs showing you to East Camp, follow it, becareful not to miss any turns! Until finally there's no more signs, turn right. Shortly after, there should be some buildings that looks like warehouses on the left, turn in. you'll see an old aeroplane parked on the right, don't worry, take the narrow lane in front of Hawker Pacific, turn right and you'll see the carpark. Go behind the block and there's the restaurant. Food is good, booze reasonably priced. Try their battered mushrooms and sauteed vegetables. Highly recommended by the author, that's me.
