COMEBACK
KIDS
One
thing you can definitely say about the Canucks this playoff
season is that sure know how to make things interesting for
themselves. Maybe too interesting sometimes. After falling
behind by two goals early in the third period of their game
one matchup against the Minnesota Wild, the Canucks rallied
to tie the game with 1.2 seconds left, then won it just over
three minutes into overtime.
Some
of my humble observations from game 1:
- Gaborik
is to Minnesota as Hejduk is to Colorado. Big-time Canuck
killer.
- All
season long, the Canucks have had problems with teams like
the Wild that play a trapping, defensive-brand of hockey
- this was very apparent in the first period of game 1.
The Canucks need to play their style of hockey to win this
series. They need to play wide-open hockey, and outhit and
outchance the Wild.
- Maybe
someone can rig the big screen to say that every period
is the second period. The Canucks have been unbelievable
in the second period of games. Last night was no different
as they dominated play and outshot the Wild, 16-5.
- Cooke
and Klatt came to play from the first shift, hitting everyone
in their way - what you need from your energy players. That
they scored the tying goal and game-winning goal is a great
bonus.

THANK
YOU!
As
the regular season has drawn to a close, I want to thank everyone
for purchasing tickets and making this year's version of "JJ's
Fan Club" its most successful one yet. Through 14 games,
you guys all made it going to the game a great experience.
I
don't know yet how the group program will shape up for next
season. I've heard different rumors regarding whether or not
the Canucks sales team will continue with the program. I will
let you all know as I hear from my account rep. Until next
season...
GO
CANUCKS GO!
