Mt. Columbia

I climbed Columbia on May 20th, 2001 with Bobbie Borowski. We hiked in on snowshoes and camped at timberline the night before. It was cold and windy at 11,560, but we had a great view of Mt. Harvard from the door of our tent. We left camp at 5 a.m. to hit the summit. It was a long grueling climb up snow fields and talus to reach the ridge line at 13,500. From there it was an easy quarter mile hike up to the summit. Photo courtesy of abovethetimber.com
