Ocala, FL

The state of Florida's newest Hooters addition opened on October 12, 1999 to a rather large and anxious crowd of Central Florida denizens. This standalone building is located just east off Exit 68 (S.R. 200) on I-75 right behind Bennigan's and is a fairly large restaurant. While, as of this writing, the restaurant has only been open three days, I've had the opportunity to go to both the grand opening (for lunch) and then a nice evening dinner the following day and definitely enjoyed the experience. Several of the waitresses are in from other restaurants (Karissa from Jax Regency) and the regular wait staff is currently in training (the waitresses in black uniforms are trainers) so a lot of what they are trying is a hodge-podge of traditions picked up from Hooters all over the country. Personally, I was quite (pleasantly) surprised by the "quality" of staff that they have managed to find (I've seen what Ocala normally has to offer... it isn't that great folks) so I would definitely recommend this one to all you folks that are hungry driving around I-75, or are in the area for a wonderful spring diving vacation.
