A Curse

Women pay anywhere from 70 to 200
dollars to have it done.

It is considered alluring, romantic.
Men go crazy over it, women love to run their fingers through it.

What am I talking about? I am talking about curly hair.
Something I have been cursed with.

For those of you considering the expense of having
a head full of locks, consider these few things I have found.

People with curly hair REALLY have longer hair than it seems.
Curls shrink when they dry.

Depending on length, those lovely locks get hung up
in car windows, fence lines, Wisteria plants, Roses,
children's hands, and cabinet doorknobs.
I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

The locks are constantly taking flight and tickling
your nose, face, in your mouth while you eat,
and always get stuck to your lipstick.

When put in a ponytail, the locks look like a bad
noodle experiment gone bad, constantly searching
outward like the snakes in Medusa's hair.

You can only comb your hair while it is wet to get tangles out.
Forget even trying when it is dry!
You end up looking like Don King or a late 70's afro.

The good things about curly hair is if you lose something
in there, no one will ever know!

If you put it in a ponytail on the top of your head,
it makes a great dust rag and with you moving your torso up and down,
you get a great abdominal workout, too!

With your hair in this style, you can also go out and dust the
cobwebs off of your plants without ever touching them with your hands.
Works great! Just make sure you shake your hair out afterwards.

So you see, my friend, this truly is a curse.
Think long and hard! Spend the money on some new clothes instead.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
