To address the aspirations of our diverse community, the mission of Hope High School is to foster independent, lifelong learning by encouraging critical thinking, creativity and self-discipline. We honor each student's right to be challenged to meet high standards, to strive for mastery, and to acquire competitive skills.
Every student will be prepared to help build and participate in a copassionate society amidst rapidly changing technological and social conditions. We will achieve these goals in partnership with our families and community by guiding, counseling and mentoring students in a safe, supportive, learning environment.

Objectives:
By the year 2004, all students will be promoted and graduate having demonstrated mastery of "New Standers," primarily through exhibition and performance.
By the year 2000, 100% of all students will have an adult advisor who will meet with them regularly in order to mentor, guide and counsel them to success.
By the year 2003, the average SAT score of our students will increase by 100 points in both the verbal and math areas by increasing reading, writing and math capabilities as measured by state performance assessments.
By the year 2003, 100% of our graduates will be attending post secondary education or pursuing positive, productive alternatives.
By September of 1999, we will accept no unexcused student absense or lateness to school or class.
By the year 2004, 100% of students will demonstrate mastery of "New Standard" through exhibition, i.e. portfolio, performance or other production which proves understanding and ability to synthesize learned knowledge into real world form and function.
By the year 2003, 100% of students will meet or exceed the "New Standards" on English/language arts, writing, and mathematics, as measured by state performance assessment.
By the year 2000, student will expand their inherent capacity to learn through their senses by interdisciplinary curricula that integrate the Arts in the core curriculum of the school and are evaluated through porfolios and exhibitions.
