A few nuggets from the brain of Hope...

Long time, no comment. It's been a rough month. But, I do have a few Days related things to say.
First off, WHAT IS WRONG WITH SALEM TEACHERS? Never, in all my life, have I ever seen teachers that would leave three of their students on a island during a hurricane. Mr. Woods should have stayed behind, while the other teacher took the students back. That's an absolutely horrendous way for teachers to act, and I hope that the parents sue the school.
Hey, was that SENSITIVITY I saw in Jason the other day? He was actually CARING for Jan? That's something new to this show. Nice to see that Jason has some humanity in there.
Loved, loved, loved, loved all the Jack/Jenn scenes in the past week. The flashbacks made me smile. Thank God for that.
If Belle screams at one more "icky" thing, I'm gonna smack her. I love her, but they're writing her to be WAY too girly, when we all know that she can be tougher than that.
Bravo to Arianne Zuker (Nicole) for the best acting of her life this week. When her character first showed up, the girl couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, and now she's doing a REALLY fantastic job. I've been really impressed with her lately. Paul may be a creep, but this storyline is bringing out the best in this actress.
Also, major props to Days for having the cast sing America the Beautiful. It was a really nice touch, and very well done. Great idea.
Any and all Broe moments just make my day. I love those two together more and more every day.
Til next time... later.

Wow, I haven't made any comments in awhile. Whoops. My bad.
I think I'm still distracted from watching Brady and Chloe sing over and over again on my VCR. Between the Sound of Music and Phantom of the Opera, I am on Broe overload. It was... to say the least, MAGICAL.
Big sigh...

Let's see... lots to talk about this week.
The de-geeking of Kevin. Please, come on... raise your hand if you were ACTUALLY surprised by this. Anybody with eyeballs can see that underneath the glasses and the side-part, Kevin has got definite hottie potential. The other kids egging him on to take off his shirt was a bit crude, Mimi snagged the line (and delivery) of the day with: "Do it for the sake of science!"
The long awaited, much anticipated Shawn & Belle smooch. Definitely worth the wait, wouldn't you say? Boy, I guess when you pent up all those feelings for so long, you go all energizer bunny and keep going and going and going.
Lexie is a terrible human being. Hope pledges her devotion to her as a friend, and Lexie is a complete phony in return. She has truly turned evil if she's treating her supposed "best friend" that way. I really hope they end all this Princess Gina/Baby Switching storyline REALLY soon, but I know they won't.
As gross as I thought it was before, I could definitely see Phillip and Mimi getting together. They both are sorta whiny and selfish, so it works.
Colin and Elizabeth must be stopped before we all start speaking in bad accents.
Brady and Chloe continue to grow closer. As long as they don't let Phillip come near her, everything is right on track. (Aww, who am I kidding? You just KNOW they're going to play it for a love triangle. Blech.)
My other favorite line of the week... Jack at the Blue Note, re: Brandon: "Don't worry, ladies. He doesn't have any diseases that can't be cured." Bravo Jack... I hate Brandon too.
Until next time.... Long Live Broe and Shelle!

I really enjoy the flashbacks to Jack & Jenn's wedding. Flashbacks are exciting when they are flashbacks of things that happened TEN years ago... not when they are flashbacks of last year's dance or the week before last.
What was with the car salesman staring at Chloe's rear? Perv.
Brady's opera singing in the car today was absolutely priceless. Very very funny stuff.
I do have to wonder... if Belle cut her head open why would she take a dip in SALT water? Wouldn't that hurt?
I am totally not digging Susan's attitude problem. Granted, Kevin's jokes may not be funny all the time... but she doesn't have to be such a hag about it.
And... on a note from last week. Phillip gets the "Duh Award" for his brilliant observation that Belle is "so smart and nice". Duhhhhhhhh Phillip... he must have REALLY had his Chloe-blinders on for the past year if he didn't even notice what a nice person Belle is. She's one of the only students at Salem High with ANY sense at all.
