Return of the Dark One by Hordak Alpha Chapter One: It was a dark and rainy night on the outskirts of the small village of Oceanic. The village was one of the main seaports of trade on the world of Eternia. On this particular night two travelers, a homeless husband and wife, were on their way to the village seeking a hme and a better life. The only belongings they had were contained in a small bundle and the husband carried the bundle over his back. Then in the darkness appeared two dark forms. They were orcs and they were itching to victimize the homeless couple. "Where do you think you are going pale face?" asked the smaller of the two orcs. "We are going to the village up ahead to start a new and better life. Please let us pass." begged the homeless man. The orcs had a twinkle in their eyes as they raised their axes, ready to strike the innocent homeless couple. The homeless couple closed their eyes tightly ,ready for their impending doom when they heard a gargled scream. They looked to find the smallest of the two orcs on the ground holding the bloody stub where it's arm had been sliced off. The couple looked to see that their savior was a tall, muscle built man swathed in a dark cloak. "Leave them be. They are innocent travelers. If you wish for a battle I am the one to come to." said the man. The smallest orc reached down and took his battle axe from his severed arm on the ground and charged the man. Without hesitation the man swung his blade and decapitated the orc in one swift motion. The tall orc watched as his comapnion's severed head rolled across the rain soaked grass. The tall orc uttered a battle cry and charged the man in the cloak. He swung his battle axe down at the man hard and clashed with the man's blade. The orc backed away ready to charge again. As the orc charged this time the man leapt up and forcefully stabbed his blade into the orc's chest. The orc slumpt to the ground lifeless. As the cloaked man left the homeless couple caught sight of the blade he carried. "He-Man saved us with his mighty sword of power." said the homeless man. "Wait. I thought He-Man never killed anyone." said his wife. The couple stood silent as the blood of the orcs was washed away by the pouring rain. End of Chapter One |
