| Chapter Three: He-Man VS Faker: Round One Battle Cat ran as fast as his mighty legs could go. 'How could Faker have found a way out of the abyss? It's practically bottomless.' thought He-Man. A little ways away Teela was still following He-Man on her disc shaped hoverboard still in shock over what she had witnessed. Unbeknowst to He-Man, Teela had witnessed his transformation from Prince Adam to He-Man and she still couldn't believe the truth. 'Adam is He-Man,' thought Teela as she pressed the acceleration pedal on her hoverboard, increasing it's speed, ' That would explain why he always disappears when trouble comes.' "Do you really think Faker is the one we are looking for?" asked Battle Cat in a low growl. "Faker is the only other being on the planet that looks anything like me. We will know for sure when we get to Castle Grayskull. The Sorceress will know for sure." said He-Man. Suddenly Battle Cat screeched to a halt. A metal creature blocked his path. In front of He-Man and Battle Cat stood a silver mechanical tiger as big and most likely as powerful as Battle Cat. What mostly stood out was the beast's rider. The rider looked exactly like He-Man except his hair was bright orange and his skin was dark blue. He wore a chest harness similar to He-Man's except it was dark black. "He-Man we meet again." said the rider in a mechanized version of He-Man's voice. "Faker is that really you?" asked He-Man in surprise. The last time He-Man had seen Faker he had had the same colors of He-Man and had been controlled by Skeletor to fool Man-At-Arms and the others. Faker was radically altered than the one He-Man had knocked into the bottomless abyss. "I guess that is the name you eternians call me. The only name you will call me in the near future is Master." said the android. "What are you talking about?" asked He-Man. "You will soon see." said Faker dismounting from his beast. The android started walking toward He-Man and Battle Cat. He-Man quickly dismounted and rushed at the android. He-Man swung a quick right punch at Faker but the android quickly dodged and counter attacked with a strong kick to He-Man's gut. The Champion of Castle Grayskull flew back from the might of the kick and quickly stopped himself. "As you can see I am slightly stronger than you now since we last met." said Faker. "We'll see about that." said He-Man as he unsheathed the Sword of Power. Faker unsheathed a dark orange version of the Sword of Power and held it in a two fisted grip. He-Man held his sword in defense position as Faker made his move. The android swung his sword with a vicious slash aimed at He-Man's face. He-Man quickly blocked it and counter attacked with a sword slash towards Faker's chest. The android blocked it and with incredible speed and force managed to knock He-Man's sword out of his hands. The Sword of Power clattered to the ground just inches in front of He-Man. Before he could pick it up Faker swung at him again. He-Man jumped back and was nicked on the left shoulder by the android's weapon. Crimson blood dripped a bit from the wound. Using his super human muscles He-Man ripped a nearby tree out of the ground and hurled it at Faker. Faker leapt up and cut the tree into two pieces. The tree debris landed on the ground behind him. Battle Cat had seen enough and decided to help his comrade. The heroic armored tiger ran towards the android with tremendous speed. In a swift motion Faker's mechanical tiger jumped and landed in front of Battle Cat, striking him in the face with his powerful tail . Battle Cat swiped at the metal tiger with his mighty left paw and scratched it in the left side of the face leaving claw marks in the metal beast's face. He-Man unsheathed his battle ax and shield ready to continue the fight when Faker moaned and dropped his sword. The android fell to his knees and clutched at his chest. "My controls are malfunctioning again." said Faker looking up at He-Man. "It seems we'll have to continue our fight another day. War Cat get me out of here." The metal beast ran over to Faker and picked him and the orange sword up and bounded away through the woods. He-Man sheathed his battle ax and sheild and walked over and picked up his sword. "He-Man are you okay?" asked Battle Cat walking over to his old friend. "I'm fine. What I want to know is what happened to Faker?" said He-Man. "What do you mean?" asked Battle Cat. "The last time I fought him Faker was a mindless drone controlled by Skeletor. Now he seems like an experienced fighter. That android is a danger to all eternians. We have to stop him." said He-Man sheathing his sword and getting back on Battle Cat's back. Battle Cat and He-Man continued their journey to Castle Grayskull more determined than ever. |
