Dazzle Mask Tutorialby Mandy Olszewski Ulead PhotoImpact 7 1. Open an image of your choice. 2. Edit/Mask Mode. 3. Select the Paint Particle pen from the left hand menu. Preset Dazzle, change the settings as follows. shape=100, colour=gray 145, Transparency=0, Soft Edge=90. 4. Paint over the areas of the image that you wish to use. 5. Edit/Mask Mode. Note - The finished image will be larger than the selection lines show. 6. Selection/Convert to Object. 7. Edit/Copy 8. Edit/Paste/As New Image. 9. Right click/Duplicate. 10. Right click/Select all Objects. 11. Right click/Merge as Single Object. 12. Hit Space Bar to deselect objects. 13. If you would like more background around your object now is the time to do it using Format/Expand Canvas. 14. Right click/All 15. Right click/Convert to Object. 16. Fill your background as desired, I chose Edit/Fill/Gradient Two Colors, first color right click choose white, to select the second color right click, choose eyedropper and select a light color from the image. Fill Type, circular. Click OK. 17. Effect/Texture/Texturizer Texture=Canvas, Relief=2, Light Direction=Top Right. 18. Right click/Merge All. 19. Frame as desired. Have fun Mandy |
