Yummy Horse Treats

Awesome, Yummy, Great Horse Treats !
 
Horse Cookies 

- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- a little more than 1/2 cup of milk (or water)
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup molasses (optional, but you should use it)
- 1/2 tsp salt
Mix and spoon onto cookie sheet by tablespoonfuls. Bake for 10-15 minutes in preheated oven at 350 degrees. Cool and feed soon (they spoil quickly )
 
Healthy Snack ( good for your horse )

- 1 carrot
- 1 half apple
- 1 packet instant oatmeal
- 1 half cup of dry bran
- 1 half cup wheat flour
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 half cup water
In a large bowl, combined bran, oatmeal, and sugar. Grate carrot and apple. Pour in corn oil, water and molasses. Stir until well mixed, spoon into 1 inch circles on greased baking sheet, and put into pre-heated 350 degree oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until crisp.
 
Apple Chunks

- 5-6 apples
- 1-1 half cups molasses
- 1 cup sweet feed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 grated carrots
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
Chop apples up finely. Pour molasses, sweet feed, oats, carrots, salt and sugar in a bag. Put in apples and shake. Chill in fridge for at least 1/2 hour.
 
Pony Pizzas

- 2 plain rice cakes
- Molasses
- 6-8 baby carrots
- Raisins or sweet feed
Take the two rice cakes and pour molasses on the tops of the rice cakes ( much like pizza sauce on pizza ). Then simply decorate the rice cakes with the baby carrots, raisins and any thing else you can think of ( you can add what ever you want )
 
Molasses Muffins

- 7 cups Sweet Feed
- 212oz Jars Dark Molasses
- 1/2 cup of water
- 2 1/2 cups of Flour
Mix the first 3 ingredients together and add flour. 2) Coat Muffin tins with vegetable oil. Press dough down into the tins. Bake at 180(c.) (350 f) for 20 min, or until dark brown This will make about 96 muffins for your horse to enjoy
A Christmas treat : Apple Sauce Muffins

- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup wheat germ
- half a teaspoon of salt
- 3 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of corn oil
- 1 cup chopped Macintosh apples
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and grease the muffin tin generously. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients thoroughly. Then pour the liquid into the dry ingredients and mix until everything is moistened. Scoop the mixture into muffin tins and bake for 15 - 25 minutes. Let the muffins cool before serving.
 
Carrot-Apple Pate' with Faux Caviar

- 2 diced carrots
- 1 sliced apple
- half a cup of honey or molasses
- 1/3 cup bran
- 1/4 cup water
handful of hay cubes and raisins
To mix the pate' place carrots, apple, bran, and water in a blender and puree until the ingredients are paste. Spread the mix on the hay cubes and top with raisins.

 
Molasses Mash

- 1 cup of oats
- 3 cups of bran
- 5 cups of warm water
- 1 cup sweet feed
- 1 cup of pony pellets
- 2 cups of Molasses
- 1 chopped apple
1 or 2 chopped or grated carrots
Put ingredients in a large bucket. Mix well. Sprinkle oats over mash and serve to your pony. Serve immediately.
 
Sweet and soupy bran mash

- 4-5 cups feed ( sweet feed )
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- Warm water
Combined ingredients in feed bucket and add enough water to make it the consistency of pea soup. Serve warm.
