Episode 17, The Longest Night of the Republic
Episode 18, The Defense of the City
(Okay, my apologies, but I think I probably mixed this and episode 17 up a little bit, so bear with me) The Imperial Forces are getting closer and closer to Rebublic ground on their little iceberg thing, along with Schubaltz's ground forces. Dr. D decides that if they can blow up the volcano, that that will stop Prozen from attacking, and they will be able to declare a cease fire. They launch Pteras' and erupt the volcano. Meanwhile, Van and Raven are fightning each other. Van's Shield Liger manages to defeat Raven's Saber Tiger, but Raven and Shadow escape before being destroyed. The volcano's lava melts quite a bit of the Empire's zoids, but Prozen continues to fight. Suddenly, Rudolf steps in and declares a cease fire in honor of his grandfather's death. The war is aborted.
Episode 19, Prozen's Conspiracy
Not much of Van and co. in this episode. Since the Emperor passed away, control of the Empire has passed to Prince Rudolf and he called a cease fire. Prozen, wanting Rudolf out of the way, decides to kidnap him, and assumedly, kill him, so he can attack the Republic. At the same time, Viola and co. break Rosso out of prison and in order to get back at the Empire, decide to kidnap Rudolf for a ransom. Prozen's goons and Rosso and co. end up running into each other, but Rosso destroys the goon's zoids, iincluding a Republic Command Wolf. Rosso breaks into the palace, kidnaps Rudolf, and runs off. The Empire finds the wreckage of the goon's Command Wolf, and assumes that it's the Republic who kidnapped Rudolf.
Episode 20, The Resurrection Monster
Van and co. head off into the Gurreal (sp?) Ruins. Meanwhile, Rosso and Viola try to make a deal with Prozen's goons. Rosso seems to be becoming sympathetic toward Rudolf, and when Prozen's goons show up, Viola and Rosso grab Rudolf and run. Back in the Ruins, Van and co. decide to explore them in search of a secret passage. Irvine and Moonbay soon set off a trap, sending Sleeper Rev Raptors chasing them through the ruins. Van and Fiona are cornered, but Zeke and the Shield Liger show up just in time. Van destroys the Rev Raptors, but there's nothing left in the ruins except a little chunk of stone tablet. Fiona picks it up, mumbles, "Death...Saurer..." and passes out.
