Our organization has over a hundred members, many of whom travel from all of New York and neighboring states to share their diverse gardening interests and skills . We meet during the year to exchange ideas and experiences, to encourage beginners, and to support members as they venture into new areas of growing, propagating, hybridizing, marketing, and judging Hostas.
A congenial atmosphere and guest speakers make for lively discussions about Hostas, plants of similar culture, garden design, and gardening in general.. Events and experiences such as bus trips, tours, leaf shows, picnics and such activities as making tufa planters make the club fun.
Plant sales help to offset club expenses and provide members the opportunity to acquire new, unique, and exotic plants to showcase in their garden. Many plants are offered at a group purchase discount, or through swaps, and door prizes, donated by our generous members.

To help keep administrative time to a minimum, you are requested join for three years.
Membership includes a copy of "The Hosta Adventure", a 32 page growers giude publihed by the American Hosta Society, a well as our chapter quarterly newsletter.
