Hi, I am Mr. Hostetter. I grew up in Swaziland,Southern Africa. Swaziland is a kingdom. That means it is ruled by a King who has a lot of power. Siswati (similar to Zulu) as well as English were the languages spoken in Swaziland. You are welcome to learn Zulu by playing a game at this link: http://www.quia.com/dir/zulu/ |
Because I love kids and teaching, I am your 5th grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary School. I find it challenging and fun to incorporate technology into my teaching. You can check out my class web page that you will be using this year a lot during computer time. However, you might also use it from home to check your homework, class schedule or to take practice SOL tests! |
My other love is spending time outdoors. My favorite activites include tennis, basketball, hiking, camping, and canoeing. My all-time favorite is spelunking in Virginia's caves. Most caves have bats but they don't bother you. Acutally, many cavers are killing off the bats . |
I am also involved at Ridgeway Mennonite Church. I love the worship and the people who attend there. This year I decided to learn how to play drums so I am taking weekly lessons in drums. |
