Kane Roberts needs no introduction, For anyone who has heard Alice Cooper's 2 most brilliant Cd's to date "Constrictor (85)" And "Raise Your Fist And Yell (86)" Then you know That Kane Roberts is 1/2 of the Maniacally Melodic Gimmick Filled Band That is Stamped All over this Alice Cooper Lineup. I mean with a Lineup like Alice Cooper, Paul Taylor, Kip Winger, and Kane Roberts, Who could ask for anything better. When You See Kane on Stage back in 86 on the Nightmare Returns Tour you would swear that he looks like RAMBO Himself, Muscles Pumping and everything. I Will be trying to track down some old pictures of Kane, But so far no luck. A bit of a History Lesson Before we get onto Kane's awesomely heavy Guitar Sound. He First Appeared On Alice's Constrictor cd,and when you listen to it you can tell when compared to the second cd Raise Your Fist And Yell that He Hadn't evolved yet. Constrictor is a bit More Creepy in certain aspects, and more melodic. Raise Your Fist is Creepy and Heavy all at once, with tons of melodicism. Kane's work can be heard Alongside Alice in the movie Friday The 13th Part 6 (My Personal Favourite). A few Songs that eventually made it on the Constrictor cd were used in the movie (Teenage Frankenstein and He's Back-The Man Behind The Mask), as well as a song that didn't make the constrictor cd called Hard Rock Summer, which is included in Alice's Box Set "The Life And Crimes Of Alice Cooper". The movie is really creepy, and putting some Alice Cooper songs in it makes it just that much creepier in my opinion. Another Movie That Kane actually appeared in, instead of just heard in was the movie Shocker, Where at the beginning of the movie you see Kane Play a Construction Worker That gets Possessed and Eventually gets Killed and The Entity of Horace Pinker Jumps into someone else's body. Kane Released a few Solo Albums after Leaving Alice's Band and has a New Album out now which can be found on His site so Click Here to visit Kane's Site. Now Onto Kane's Guitar Sound, There's Not Much Info On it yet, but there'll be more to come. He Used 50 Watt Marshall Amps with Alice Cooper He Used Kramer Voyager guitars and I Know They Were loaded with Dual Seymour Duncan JB Model Humbuckers. And his Machine Gun guitar was designed by Rick Johnson. After Kane left Alice Cooper he switched to Ibanez guitars. Thanks to Armando for the guitar info.
