HOT BUTTERED RUM BATTER
|1 Pound Brown Sugar
1/4 Pound Butter
Pinch of Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon Cloves
Cream butter, sugar, salt and spices togather until smooth and fluffy. Refrigerate until needed.
Preheat 6 oz. mug with boiling water. Drop 1 heaping teaspoon of batter in mug, add 1-1/2 oz.
rum, stir and fill with hot water.
This is no fru fru batter made with ice cream. It's the real deal as Trader Vic used to make it. The recipe comes from "Bartender's Guide by Trader Vic" 1948
