Hyakugojyuuichi! - Must be seen to be believed, and maybe not even then. Turn up the sound for full effect. The Holy Qur'an - On a more serious note. This is an excellent hypertext translation by Yusuf Ali. At least it's reputed to be an excellent translation; when I can actually read the Qur'an in Arabic, I'll know for myself... The History of Jim Crow - The shameful side of Southern history...although, as the site makes quite clear, it was hardly just the South. This is set up as an educational site, and it *is* very educational. Think you know all about this stuff, and don't need to think about racism, 'cause you don't see any around you? Read it anyway. ZEN - You're so Zen and you don't even know it! This is unbelievably relaxing, although it requires you to interact with the site. And you must do it in a singularly Zen way -- there aren't a whole lot of instructions. Requires Flash plugin, I think (note especially to Angus -- even if it isn't your cup of tea -- it's more green tea than Earl Grey ;) -- I think this is a site that's actually utilizing Flash in a way that makes sense!)
Angus's Site - This is the home page of that very nice man, Angus Cook. Angus lives in Norfolk in the UK and is very clever and fun to correspond with. Visit him; he has a groovy page. And no, he's not Scottish. |
