MAKING CHILLI POWDERS

THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO DO THIS, FIRSTLY IN A FOOD DRYER, IN THE SUN IF YOU LIVE SOMEWHERE VERY HOT, IN A MICROWAVE OR OVEN BAKED AT APPROX 200F FOR ABOUT 6-8HOURS. IN ALL THESE METHODS THEY SHOULD BE DRIED UNTIL THEY BREAK WHEN BENT.
AFTER YOU HAVE DONE THIS THE NEXT STEP IS TO GRIND THE PEPPERS(I ADVISE YOU TO WEAR A MASK WHEN DOING THIS).
USING A FOOD PROCESSOR OR GRINDER PUREE THE CHILLIES TO A FINE POWDER. YOU CAN ADD SOME SEEDS IF YOU PREFER, THIS WILL GIVE A COARSER POWDER.
YOU CAN MAKE DIFFERENT COLOURED POWDERS OR MIX YOUR COLOURS IT IS YOUR CHOICE.
FROM THESE POWDERS, PASTES CAN BE MADE BY ADDING THEM TO A LITTLE OIL,CHOPPED GARLIC AND VINEGAR.
ALSO YOU CAN ADD THE POWDERS TO OTHER SPICES AND HERBS TO MAKE DIFFERENT CHILLI POWDERS OR USED AS A DUSTING FOR STEAKS, CHICKEN OR FISH.
