NOTES AND/OR SIGNIFICANT EVENTS:

1st:  	Mild through early afternoon, light showers produced .04" rain.  Then very windy and
	turned much colder this evening.
4th:	Snow showers early this morning and this afternoon, were briefly heavy, produced 0.5"
	snow total.  Very strong winds blew the cover off some wooden chairs and damaged part
	of our pool cover apparatus.
7th:	A bit of light snow early this morning just .2" fell, patchy fog.  Became sunny and
	warmer this afternoon
8th:	Warming trend continues, high today 56F.
10th:	Couple brief PM showers and some light rain late this evening .11" fell.  Windy late.
11th:	Snow showers overnight, only 0.1", clearing & windy today
12th:	Sunny, milder, still windy
13th:	Sunny and breezy after early snow showers (trace)
16th:	Mild and mostly sunny day, light rain shower 9-10pm and again toward midnight which was
	mixed with snow, breezy and turned colder late
17th:	Snow showers this morning, 0.7" fell briefly covering the ground, then partially cleared
	and flurries through the late PM hours.  Windy & blustery all day
19th:	Mild high 58F.
20th:	Very mild high 60F and windy at times.  Yet another big rain system falls apart as it
	crosses the mountains, only light showers late produced .01"
21st:	Light rain ends shortly after midnight, another cloudy, mild and breezy day high 56F.
25th:	VERY mild high of 67F today.
26th:	Rain showers this morning produced .07" rain, then variably cloudy, still mild,few PM 
	sprinkles, cold front passed through--windy and turned colder during the evening hours
27th:	Snow showers overnight and this morning produced 1.0" snow, melted during the day, but
	more snow showers this evening with another 0.5" for a total of 1.5".  Cold and windy.
28th:	Snow ended overnight; another chilly day high only 32F.

COMMENTS:  The drought continued at earnest as February yields a paltry .40" of liquid
	precipitation, making it one of the driest months ever.  Snowfall was also scant with
	only 3.0" falling from numerous snow showers during the month.  February was also much
	milder than average, although cooler than January, with an average temperature of 35.9F.
