NOTES AND/OR SIGNIFICANT EVENTS:

3rd:  Couple showers late this evening produced .10" rain.
4th:  Thunderstorm 3-4am with .13" rain.  Hazy, warm humid day.  More storms developed over the
      area 5-6pm, just a brief burst of rain here.  Total rain only .19".
5th:  Hottest day of the year so far, high 91F.  Some lightning to N and W late this evening
      with light rain around midnight...
6th:  Showers and light rains overnight and this morning, more rain this afternoon with a heavy
      downpour about 3pm and gusty winds 20-30mph.  A few more showers this evening, total .65".
10th-11th:  Hazy, hot & humid with mild muggy nights.
13th: Thunderstorms overnight with heavy downpours, nearly 1.00" fell between 3:15-4:30am.
      Light rain 9am-2pm and more showers and storms on and off all evening 6-11pm with some
      heavy bursts of rain at times, total rain 1.58".
14th: More showers overnight were heavy 2-2:30am with about .60" falling in 30 minutes.  Rain
      and drizzle ended by 8am with .90" total and fog lifted by mid-morning.  Some peaks of sun
      today but mostly cloudy.  Light rain 10pm to midnight, total for day .91".
15th: A few showers overnight another .10" rain.  A cool cloudy day with sprinkles at times.
16th: Shower about 3am produced .07" rain.  Otherwise a dry day with varying amounts of clouds.
19th: Warmer and more humid, some distant thunder to the SE early this evening.
24th-25th:  Hazy, hot and humid, high 91F both days.
26th: A strong thunderstorm skirted just to the north & east 12:30-1:30pm, no rain fell here but
      radar estimated 2-3" of rain fell just to the NE.  More storms to the SE between 2-3pm but
      still no rain.
27th: Only light rain this evening .04" fell as a line of intense thunderstorms fell apart as it
      crossed the mountains.
28th: Another warm and humid day and another line of showers and storms managed to split apart
      and hit to the east & west with nothing here except some dark skies and a few sprinkles.

JUNE 2002 SUMMARY:
The weather in June was pretty uneventful.  Typical summer heat and humidity were the rule much
of the month.  Rainfall was abundant the first half of June and nearly non-existent the second
half.  A total of 3.67" fell, near average, but 2.49" of that fell on the 13th-14th alone.
