This is my granddaughter, Krystine. The following poem was written by her in December of 1999 when she was eleven years old. Krystine loves to read books and write short stories and other articles of interest...so look out she might be a budding author of a new book someday. |

I LIKE WINTER BY DANIELLE FUNDERBURK I love winter I like to play in the leaves and have fun with my brother and sister I like to throw snowballs at momma I like to draw a snowman on paper then go out and make one for real I like to play in the snow and make snow angels I like to go in the season to the YMCA and swim with my brother and sister I like to play with my dog, Sandy, and hold her in my arms and clean her in the water I like to play with mom, dad, and grandma when the snow melts I can't go outside But I can go outside when it snows again I like to make a snowman, with eyes, a nose, and strips for the arms and the feet. |
