MAMA'S
COMING HOME

I heard them say the words
"We're gonna take Mama home"
Oh the joy that filled my heart
Now I won't have to be alone.

I must rest tonight and save my strength
Cause tomorrow will soon be here
I want to savor the entire length
and go home where I'll have no fear.

My family will all be with me
Until I draw my final breath
And then my Savior will take me home
where with him I can truly rest.

I can feel their love and presence
As they gather round me close
It's times like this that I would say
I think I have missed the most.

I've always longed to come back home
and asked them all to take me there
I think, dear God, You've finnally granted me
the answer to my prayer.

Now I'm home and at peace in my heart
I'm listening for the words from you, Dear God.
When you will say,
"It's time for us to part"

I know my family will miss me so
"But be of good faith, and I want you to know
I'll be your Guardian Angel and watch over you from above
And in each raindrop that fall from heaven, you'll know
It's my teardrops of love"

I'm ready and waiting
For God to say the word
"Winnie, I'm coming to take you home"
I know they will be the sweetest I've ever heard"
