The spring pads needed to be relocated to fit on the Posies springs.
Here you see the left side removed. I used a fiberwheel instead of my plasma cutter (I did not want to generate too much heat in the housing) and ground it smooth. The trashcan worked well for a work bench as the dented lid held it in place well. (hehe)
I purchased a frame from Fatmans.
I have the front suspension mocked up, rear springs on, getting ready to place the rearend on the springs.
I don't mind welding sheetmetal, but I am a machinist, not a welder, so I left the welding to the experts
The body is torn apart waiting to be put on the new frame
At a past job, I ran a CNC plasma cutter, and also did powder coating. Here are my frontend parts hung and being coated ( by me ) with 90% gloss black.
The original gas tank is in good shape. By grinding off the original nuts I could bolt it to the frame .
New bushings, balljoints, and 5 lug rotors, from Kenny's Rod and Custom round out the front end. The Lincoln rear is now set up with a 3.50:1  gear. The body was placed on the new chassis and the sheet metal will be put back on so I can shim the body to frame and set the gaps . The car sits pretty high in the front, but after the engine, trans ... is installed, coils will be cut (if needed),  so the lower control arms are parallel to the ground.
