The mark of Slaanesh is a very useful, if underrated mark. Having a general that is immune to psychology is a very nice advantage--no worrying about panic, fear, or terror bringing your mighty Slaanesh general to his knees! It is also nice that this mark was not made less useful by anything in 5th ed.

The most distinguishing aspect of the Mark is that if a Slaanesh character is in a unit and the unit breaks the character is separated from the unit and continues to fight, thus preventing the enemy unit from pursuing the rest of the unit. This mark allows lone Slaanesh lords to tackle large units by himself as he will not be broken by rank and standard bonus like other lone characters, all he has to do is stay alive and to do that you will give him at least two items of protection as suggested. Note that if the Slaanesh character is mounted on a flying creature this will not work as he will still be driven off as normal.
