Marks of Chaos: Tzeentch

Tzeentch--4+ Magic Dispel

This mark is another that will be weakened by 5th ed--in 5th ed magic you will only be allowed to make one dispel attempt per spell cast. This means that the usefullness of the Tzeentch mark has been markedly reduced. The Mark used to be a front line defense. (ie. You would roll to see if your Mark dispelled the spell cast at you before even thinking about other means of dispelling the spell) With the new rules, the Mark becomes a last line of defense, only being used when all other more reliable methods are not available. It also means that having two or more Tzeentch characters in the same unit will not be as beneficial as it once was as you will only get one roll instead of two. Pity, this mark wasn't that powerful to begin with, in 5th ed. it is even less powerful. Although, when push comes to shove, I would rather have a 4+ dispel than nothing at all. Having a Tzeentch character in each of your units at least gives you a partial protection from magic after you have exhausted your supply of dispel scrolls. This can be very frustrating to your opponent, especially if you make all of your rolls!
