Total Care Giver to My Father-in-law who was disabled and had A.D.
passed away,within 8 months of his passing my mother-in-law was also diagnosed as
having A.D. She is far worse than he. Has been 4 years of continuous stress
and worry! Have learned a lot, done hours of research on the disease. Learned all the available help out
there. Mother got onto a Crisis Waiting List for a Nursing Home
in Dec. Things really fell apart then.

My mom lived with me for about 2 years, 1 year on Long Island, NY and
about a year with me here, in Charleston. About a year ago I put her in
an assisted living facility because I could no longer take care of her.
It took me a long time to get over the guilt -- I still go to see her
about 2 to 3 times a week. This is the hardest thing I've ever
encountered!

diagnosed officially approximately two years ago. Her husband died this past
January so the brunt of this disease has been placed on her five children and

have a young poodle, untrained pound puppy. Having been here for @ 1
1/2yrs, am attempting to get another life in addition to. Am looking
into adult day care, hope to research this old house for inclusion in
historical assoc., want to join exercise group, quit smoking, learn to
swim and snorkle, improve woodworking skills and painting interests.
